About Our Founder

Siebahn M. Gallagher, April Rising's founder, began her career in the dim past when Hippies still roamed the earth and life was groovy. In the beginning, she was a struggling artist who, among other enterprises, organized and promoted arts events and crafts fairs in order to improve marketing opportunities for herself and her friends. Then came corporate employment.

For more than two decades, Ms. Gallagher has proven and refined her marcomm skills for both corporate and not-for-profit clients, winning awards and accolades along the way. From performing arts to health services, public transit to public arts, Ms. Gallagher has demonstrated expertise in virtually every aspect of strategic communications planning and production.

She is one of those rare talents who can convert a goal from an abstract statement to a comprehensive program plan while rounding up the details, keeping complex projects on schedule and in budget. “The heart of an artist, the mind of an engineer,” according to one of her fans.
